The Essence of Marriage
The concept of covenant, in its heart of hearts, refers to a situation where a moral force, traditionally God, is a party, usually a direct party to, or guarantor, of a particular relationship
Picture the moment:
The groom waits nervously at the front of the Chapel, feeling the weight of the occasion.
All eyes are on him, until a song plays from the back. All heads turn to see the moment everyone was waiting for.
Gracefully, the bride strides in, the cascading light from the door enveloping her. Beautiful, Radiant.
And suddenly the Groom’s heart jumps, anxiety is lifted. Here is the One whom his soul loves, entering the church to make Lifetime vows and Covenant before God, and man. The excitement of the Bridal couple shows as they walk towards each other, to start a journey which will continue through the door of Marriage, into a Love that will echo through eternity.
I get it, I understand. I was THAT groom. I’m still that Groom! My memories are vivid with the Absolute Joy of my own Wedding.
What will your story be?
